Certification of Products

The certification body for the product conformity operates within the organizational structure of RINA SIMTEX Bucharest in accordance with the requirements of standard SR EN 45011.

RINA SIMTEX assesses the product conformity in accordance with the requirements of national and international standards, Directives of the European Union or with other applicable normative documents (technical specifications, instruction book, product standard, etc.) monitoring the whole cycle of these processes: design, manufacture, montage, trials, packaging, storage and marketing.

Under the conditions presented in its certification documents, the certification body grants a Certificate of Conformity and/or License for the use of the conformity mark and acts constantly for the extension of the certification domains.

Surveillance is carried out through surveillance audits for as long as the certificate is valid in order to maintain the conformity of the product.

Within the certification process, the certification body uses competent subcontractors (laboratories for testing and staff) that are assessed in accordance with its procedures.

The certification body guarantees:

• free and non-discriminating access to certification;
• confidentiality
• voluntary character of the certification
• impartiality

Stages of Certification

The main stages in the certification process of product conformity are as follows:

• Initiation of the certification process
• Document review relevant to the product, process and to the quality management system, as necessary, in accordance with the certification plan
• Assessment of testing on representative samples.
• Assessment on site.
• Assessment of the certification file.
• Granting the certification for the product.
  Note: The certificate is granted only if the organization complies with all the requirements regarding the certification specified for each stage of the certification process.
• Surveillance.
• Renewal of certification.

Each stage of the certification process is finalised with written documents, based on which the certification decision is made: Assessment Report for document review, Reports of inspections and Testing Bulletins issued by the subcontracted laboratories, Report of testing assessment, Report of audit on site, Summary of Product Assessment.
